yes they do. they have actually done it more and more as the years go on.

what do you want to accomplish in the next 2 months?
i want to find a family that is ready to be baptized and i also want to find some men to baptize in the church. another big goal for me is just to finish strong.

how has your testimony grown this past week?
is has grown in the fact that i can see that the more obedient to the lords commandments we are the more that we will receive. and not just now but in the long run.

who are you teaching right now?
we are teaching a few families. we are teaching a woman and her sister named melina and miriam. they are really cool. they are friends of our recent convert. we are also teaching the mamani family. i think they are that family that i can help come to the gospel and get baptized. they are awesome. the wife said that she will get baptized. she knows that the gospel is true. the only thing that we have to do is get them married. there are a few others but those are the ones that are really doing great.

what is your fav article of faith and why.
number four. why because it just states the true simple foundation that we have as members. we need to always have faith and repent. baptism is required and so is receiving the holy ghost. that means that if we have the holy ghost it is going to guide us to endure to the end.

Overall, i have been doing really good. i am really liking the mission right now. i love my companion and i love being here in my area. i really hope that i can finish my mission here in my area. i love the people here and i hope that i can just keep finding people that are ready. everyone needs to hear the gospel.

hey all! here are some pictures from spencer...sorry that they are not in order, i was having a hard time on the computer trying to figure it out, so you get what you get today! (: i hope that you love them...he is really doing so great...it is so hard to believe he will be home in three months.. thanks for all of your prayers and support, continue to pray for him while he is doing the Lords work! he is praying for us! playing the guitar at my bday party!

hey guys... this is a quick update for spence... i forgot to write him last week... so i got nothing! (it was fair) anyway, so this week i asked him a couple of questions... here ya go!

i am doing great. i love training again. i have had so many experiences this last week. it is really crazy to open an area and not know anything about it. but it has been fun. well i will answer your questions first.
1. who are you teaching this week, and what are you teaching them? We are teaching a woman named gisela. she is so awesome. i had one of the best experiences in my life. she was being taught by the missionaries before and we were there to teach her. she said she was fine and that everything was going good. but after a while she told us what really happened. how she has been separated from her boyfriend for 3 months and that she is really liking it. i asked her if she has prayed about the BOM and she said yes. i then asked her if she wanted to be baptised. she again said yes. so i let her pick her date and everything. she is going to be getting baptised the 23 of auaust. she is awesome. we also just found a family well like 4 families last night that are all going to progress. they are such good people. i know that they are going to make the right desisions in there lives.
2. share with me a spiritual experience that happened to you this week. well last night when my kid and i were walking in the street i was explaining to him how we have to knock and find people be the spirit. i was telling him that the lord knows what we are doing and that we need to put all of our trust in him. right after that he told me this..."hey i don't know if this is a hunch of not but i feel like we have to knock that door back there." now we had competly passed this house but we went back anyway. a woman let us in and told us that she had been baptised when she was nine and that she needed help. she wants to come back to church and learn why the book of mormon is true. we were guided by the spirit.

Q: what is your favorite tie? A: My favorite tie is one that is brown and green. it is pretty ugly but it has alot of memories behind it.

Q: what is your "winter" season like? A: well lets see it is winter now and it is like 80 degrees every day.

Q: tell me about an opportunity to give a priesthood blessing... what did you feel? what did you learn? why did you give it? A- Well i love giving blessing when i can. it feel really good when i can use my priesthood power. i relaly hope that i can give alot more in my lifetime. the people here are really humble but when they really need something i am glad that i can do something. i gave a blessing once to a women in my first area my first transfer. i can remember what i said but i spoke really well. my companion asked me , "you told me that you cant speak spanish" i told him that i can't and that i had no idea what i just said. the woman wanted a blessing and my compaion told her that i have like two weeks in the mission so he said that he was going to give the blessing but the woman said no. she wanted me to give the blessing. so i did and that is what happened. i had a very spiritual experience.

Q: what is a good scripture about faith? A: Alma 32:21 and Ether 12:6

Q: what is your apartment like? A: well it is just an average apartment. there is not much to it. like i have said before there is no carpet in this country so that just is not fun see all of those pictures with carpet. but yeah it is cool i guess you could say...

Q: share your testimony? A: now is that supposed to be a question. Okay i will. It is really simple. i know the church is true and that we have the power of god on the earth. god has a plan for us. we must do everything we can to returen and be with our father in heaven again. i say again because i know that we lived with him before this life and we will live with him again. our whole family. we much do all we i can. i know we have a prophet and the scriptures are true. Jesus is the Christ and he loves us all.

he said this today "well yeah this last week was really good. we were going to have a baptism but we are going to have it this next week because she wants to be baptised with her daughter. so that will be cool. this saturday or the next.... ...this last week i got to talk to some of my converts in an old area. it was so much fun. they wanted me to go back and see them so bad. i really hope that i am in that zone again so i can go and visit them on a Pday. but yeah. i am really loving the mission."

Hey all! Spencer just got transefered this week WOW! he says thanks so much for your comments, and he will try and write more personal things soon! and that YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! this is just a random pic, if you ask me i think that this is his favorite tie because he wears it a lot! (: i always ask spence questions, so i posted his answers below.. it is fun to read about what he is doing! well i love ya! look for more next week!

Q: what was your last baptism like?A: the last one was so good. we completed a family. this boy was not going to get baptised and his dad wasn't going to let him. but we taought them that it is better to walk in the light then alongside it.

Q: who is your companion...isn't it transfers?A: my companion was elder baty. the best companion i have ever had or will ever have. he is the best i am a better man and person because of his example. my new comp is elder stone. i know him and he is really awesome. i know that we are going to work hard.

Q: Where exactly are you?A: i am going to be in this place called San Pedro de Jujuy. it is in the northern part of aregentina. and it is the coldest place in the winter. oh yeah i am so exited. i love the cold.

Q: do you have a car?A: pish!!!! NO!!!

Q: what is your favorite hymn?A: Lead Kindy Light. or DIvina Luz in spanish.

Q: how have you seen hymns bring the spirit?A: No one can sind really well. and the branch that i am in just loves to hear me sing. and that is a good thing because i love to sing. we were out looking for less actives and we found this old elders quorum president. we just shared a short message and the i sang a hymn for him. (a poor wayfary man of grief)( that might be how you spell that in english.) and the next day he was in church. he has been inactive for years. he thanked me for the hymn and i know that through those sacred words and music a mans life was changed forever.

Q: Have you ever just randomly sang songs when people let you in their house?A: Yes my comp always says, "hey would you like to hear my comp sing?" people love music but are not singer so they always say yes.

Q: what gospel priciple are you studying this week?A: Humility. i love it. i feel the spirit more when i humble myself. it is probably one of the hardest christ like attributes.

Hey all! spence is doing so great! these are just a few questions that i had for him... he's so good to answer them. you should post any questions that you have, he loves to answer them! Q: so... what is your fav scripture this week?

A: yes actually i do. it is alma 34:32. It is really good. It talks about how today is the day of our salvation. I have just learned that we never know when we are going to be done. So we just have to work hard every single day. You know. Try and just do our best.

Q: how has your testimony grown in your work?

A: well I have really come to realize that we are truly gods children. Like our parents he wants the best for us. He I there all of the time to help us. That is such a blessing. I know that I have taken it for granted. i love my heavenly father.

Q: where do you find the most joy?

A: I find joy in knowing that I have a forever family. And that they will always be there for me. It also brings me joy to know that one day I will live with my heavenly father again.

Q: do they have cold cereal there? if yes.. what do you like?

A: Yes they do. There really isn’t that good of argentine cereal but they have a little bit of America. Trix, cookie crisps, frosted flakes. So yeah I like those but I like this argentine one called copas de maiz.

Q: do you like kool-aid?

A: did you really have to ask that. Of course I like kool-aid. You should send me some. I prefer grape and tropical punch.

Q: what have you learned about the atonement? You said that the talk your mission pres gave was amazing.. What are some of the things that you learned?

A: I have learned so many things about the atonement I would need a whole paper to tell you what I have learned. But to make it really simple. The atonement brings us eternal joy and happiness.

Hello everyone. I don’t have alot of time to write this week but i just wanted to let you all know that i am doing great. I love being a missionary. I love the people. We fould a really good family that is going to get baptised. I also have to say that it is a family of like 20 people. So we are going to save them all. I love bringing people unto the Lord. You are all amazing people. I love you all and you have made a big difference in my life. Well i'll get you all a bigger letter next week but just so you know that i havn’t forgot you all. I love you and i hope that you all have a great day.
